Was Playa Blanca good for the kids?:
This was a great resort for children. They were tonnes of child friendly restaurants, play areas and a safe beach. How was your accommodation in Playa Blanca, Lanzarote?
Type: ApartHotelName: Pueblo Marinero Hotel
How was the accommodation for the children?:
Accommodation suitability for children rating: 5 starsIt was a brilliant hotel for the kids. Children under 6 eat for free in the choice of 3 restaurants in the marina. Our 3 year old spent most of his time in the heated pool and the jacuzzi - v easy entertainment! There is one adult pool and 3 kids pools. (It would have been too cold to swim without the heated pool). There were lifts up to the apartments, which you don't always get. There were small tennis courts, a playground with climbing frame and best of all a bouncy castle next to the pool bar. Perfect! There is a kids club children aged 4+ but this is only open at the busy times of the year. We were provided with a cot and highchair by the hotel.
Did you eat out with your children in Playa Blanca, Lanzarote?
Eating out for children rating: 4 starsArte Pasta (Marina Rubicon). No kids menu but not a problem, kids activity table kept them amused.
Lani's (Marina Rubicon) was very family oriented - great views over the marina, good menu for kids (with fab takeaway menu), staff great with kids. Our 3 year old was really pleased when they gave him bread to feed the fish in the marina.
Tex Mex (Marina Rubicon) This restaurant was right on the sea edge, it had great food and a kids menu. The both children loved the parrot and the play area at the back of the restaurant.
Are there things to do for the children in Playa Blanca, Lanzarote ?
Activities for children rating: 4 starsWe took the children on the excursion to the Volcanos which wasn't suitable for them as they were too young (1 and 3). Someone recommended the animal park at Puerto del Carmen which we didn't do this time, but definitely will on a return visit.
