baby and child friendly holidays - Selva Ski Resort, Italy

Here's a parent's eye review of

Selva Ski Resort, Italy from Leena, February 2010

Holiday Type: Adventures and Thrills
From: Leena

Is Selva Ski Resort, Italy good for the kids?:

This was a great resort for the children. My older two (aged 5, 3) were able to go into the morning Ski club where they learnt how to ski in small groups. Then the Snow club ran in the afternoons where they had lots of indoor and outdoor fun. The kids were also supervised during lunch and the chalet we stayed at offered high tea for the children. My youngest (aged 7 months) stayed at the nursery in a dedicated room in our chalet. The nursery was well structured and was well equipped.

What was your accommodation?

Type: Chalet
Name: Chalet Marta

How was the accommodation for the children?:

It was a great chalet for the children as all the families staying there had similar aged children. The children were able to play together and became good friends at the end of the holiday.

Did you eat out in Selva with your children and how was it?

We ate out at a local Pizzeria in Selva. There were no high chairs and there was quite a long wait for the pizzas to arrive. The restaurant could have benefitted from having some colouring to do for the children to keep them occupied.

Are there things to do for the children in Selva?

In addition to skiing and the snowclubs, there was a local library, climbing arena and also an ice-skating rink. The children were very happy doing the different activities on offer in the area.

Any other things you think parents should know about Selva?

The local Despar shop was very conveniently located in the town. It sold a wide range of items for babies and young children.
