Happy New Year to you all.
We thought we’d kick the New Year off with a competition and we’re very pleased to be giving away a Snoozihedz from the company that brought you the fabulous Trunki.
Introducing Snoozihedz
Now, you all know that we love Trunki, the wheely (sorry) practical, loveable sit on suitcase and so you’d imagine we’d be pretty impressed with Magmatic’s new offering and you’d be right. Snoozihedz is 3 marvellous travel products in 1. It’s a kids travel pillow, blanket and travelling companion all in one. The cuddlesome character unzips, and inside you’ll find the plush fleece blanket. The pillow inflates for super comfort and there’s even a little pocket for teddy. The pillow and blanket can be connected so they don’t move, ensuring that your travelling tot stays cosy and warm during their journey.
Snoozihedz for sleeping while travelling
We think Snoozihedz is great for flying with children, whether they need a nap on a short haul flight, or if they’re snuggling down to sleep on a long haul overnighter. Snoozihedz can also be used on trains, cars and wherever you’re on the go really. It would be great too on holiday for that time when you’re wandering home after an evening meal, the sun has started to fade and little ones can get a bit chilly in the buggy.
The competition
We’re giving one lucky BabyAbroader the chance to get their hands on one and here’s all you need to do to enter. Just tell us your favourite place you’ve holidayed with your children or if you haven’t travelled as a family yet, tell us where you would love to take your children on holiday. Leave your answer as a comment below. Competition closes end of Monday 30 January. Entry is limited to one per person. Please note that automated entries will be deleted.
Good luck.
Find us here too:
And if you haven’t already, do sign up to receive our blog updates (just pop your email in that box on the right hand side of this post) so that you can find out if you’ve won and then you won’t miss out on other competitions, tips and baby travel advice either. Best Holiday I’ve had with the Children was Euro Disney for the past two years as both had a brilliant time and the holidays were all about them and not the parents! Mind you sure the travelling companion would have come in very handy!
During the amazing September heatwave last year we packed up our tent and headed to woolacombe. It was the best, spontanious family break! Making sand castles on the beach with our son for the first time : )
EYGPT definately a winner with the kids , fantastic sandy beaches the distant of sand to the sea is quite large therefore dont have to panic if kids do a runner, plenty of childhood entertainment and plenty of fine soft sand and clean well looked after beaches
Butlins skegness i am 53 and remember the excitement of getting the bus or train once a year to skeggy barry island ayr or clacton with my mum dad and brother, donkey derby, beauty contests, watching people swim through the glass windows it was brill, Love it even more now that we are not woken by hi de hi and dont have to run outside the chalets to the toilet block lol
We went to the Bunya mountains in Australia. Great scenery, like Austria. Just stunning and Sean loved it.
We’ve only made it as far as Anglesey at the moment!which is always beautiful and only an hour away from us, we’re hoping to go to Italy in the summer, but the ultimate Holiday would definately be Florida, although we’ll save going there until the boys are a little bit bigger and will remember it.x
Family hol in a rented villa in Cyprus when our little one was 20 months old year before last. She was so good! Perfect on the plane and even other passengers commented on how good she was. Just sat there and put up with it! Not one tear! We all had a brilliant time, and had our own pool. The people there just love children so much, and she had them all twisted round her little finger in the local tavernas with requests such as “Man! I want some ice cream please!” then some days she requested cheese. She’ll go a long way!
me and my partner took our little boy to turkey last year, what made it extra epecial is my family came along too and shared the excitement and experience of our little boys first holiday!
I had a lovely holiday with my twin boys at Sandy bay, Devon.
Would love to take them, and their new brother (due in May) to Tenerife one day
We have only had 1 holiday with the kids-to Weymouth which was great but I’d love to take them to Disneyland in Florida when my youngest is a bit older.
We love to holiday in the UK as there is nowhere more beautiful when the sun is shining! We love to stay in Padstow in Cornwall, where there are gorgeous little shops and a beautiful harbour. We live in Derbyshire so it is a good journey, but our gorgeous two year old girl has been an absolute star when we travel down there, although I daresay a snoozihead may make it even more enjoyable for her!
We went camping last year to a little farm in burton flemming near scarborough. It was the best holiday EVER, we have been abroad many times before but this time it was just brill, being away from hustle and bustle, no network signal for mobiles phones, enjoying bbqs and enjoying a vino under the stars. I cant wait to do it again this year.
I take my daughter down to my mothers in somerset which is over 3 hours in the car and often done at night so this would be amazing. Never been on a proper holiday with her, but seriously looking into disneyland paris this year, fingers crossed i can make her dream come true
.
we havent travelled as a family yet but we are going to london in march (3 hours by train/ 5 by car) I would love to take them to disneyland in Florida but my bank balance doesnt agree
Disney land Florida.
I wish i could afford it, the advert is great.
I also love the happy feet villa holidays advert ‘Happy feet, weve got those feet’
Disneyland Paris – really convenient to get to (especially by train) and as you would expect the kids absolutely loved it.
So far, we’ve only been on one break with Lewis (he’s only 1!) We went to LochGoilhead, in Scotland – which was so peaceful and the scenery was truely stunning. This Summer, we hope to go to Centre Parcs – we feel Lewis is still a bit young for a trip Abroad. Thanks for running the Competition. Great Blog
As a family we love going to Center Parcs in Elveden Thetford just before Christmas, but we would love to take our son to Jersey as both myself and my husband often has family holidays there when we were younger. Our biggest wish would be Disneyland Florida but sadly at the moment money wont stretch that far xx
Favourite place was in the Peak District in a tent. We were by a river with stepping stones and caves. Very magical.
My favourite holiday with the kids was to Porthmadog in North Wales a couple of years ago, the hotel was so family friendly that it made a great holiday fantastic.
We liked staying at a Keycamp site in Northern Spain, an hour south of Barcelona. It had everyting we needed for a toddler and a baby and the staff were marvellous as well. We had a microwave to do milks and sterilise bottles, an oven and barbeque to do our own cooking, and travel cots and highchairs were provided. They also had details of all the child friendly attractions within an hours drive of the site.
We haven’t had a family holiday yet but hoping to go to Cyprus in september for a friends wedding.
camping in France we have had some great times
We had a lovely holiday to blackpool when the kids were 5, 2 and 9months old. the hotel was really friendly, the weather was fantastic, and we had a really relaxing time! Definately somewhere we would go again.
I would love to take my children to disney world Florida one day! I went as a child and loved it!!
Cornwall is just beautiful to holiday with children, but such a journey from the Midlands, the Snoozihedz would make the journey more comfy for Sophia, perfect for “huggling”.
I took my 2 year old daughter camping for 4 days to the Isle of Wight Music festival last year, She was an absolute star and we had a brilliant time, would do it again in a flash, but without the rain!
Rhodes is very family friendly, and the Greek love children!
We went to Estepona in Spain last year and rented a prvate apartment. It was so much easier than a package holiday. The apartment was fully equipped with everything we needed for all the children and it was so convenient and felt safe.
We’ve had one family holiday so far – we went last summer to a caravan park in Devon. My 2 year old loved the caravan and thought it was a brilliant adventure, he still asks about it six months later! This year we’re saving up to be able to visit my family in France.
We took our daughter to the new forest. She was only a few months old but had a lovely time seeing all the ponies!!
Just got back from a family holiday at Bluestone in Pembrokeshire. It was fantastic and even though it was cold an wet, there was loads for our little ones to do!
North Cornwall been twice since having our second and love it :0)xx
My little Ted is only 10 months so we have only been as far as Cornwall so he could feel the sand in his toes for the first time! I have my best friend’s wedding at Santorini in August of 2013 and we are trying ever so hard to save for it as she would love little Ted as a page boy! By then he will be in cute little swim bands, I just hope we can make it!!
since our newest addition to the family is only 6 weeks old we haven’t had a chance to holiday together yet but we are booked up for costa dorada (Spain) this summer. Its a lovely place with Barcelona only a little drive away the theme park Port Aventura literally 10 mins up the road. There’s so much for the children to do, We can’t wait
We have only had one family holiday which was to Thomas Land at Drayton Manor. It was a long drive from Edinburgh, but we all had a great time. My son is 4 and is thomas the tank engine crazy, and at the time, my little girl was 10 months old ~ so was a bit limited for her, but she loved the zoo which is there. My husband and I took turns of taking Joe on the rides. We had an amazing time, and would definitely love to go back. UK holidays for us are the best option as there is so much we would like to see in our country before we venture to the “big world!” ~ I highly recommend this theme park for kids… and big kids too!
We holidayed with our 4 year old in Gozo, the lovely island next to Malta. It was very relaxing and Ava, our daughter, asks all the time when we can go back.
Disneyland paris, e verything fun you get musicians in restaurants great rides and hilarious fun characters and activities poping up almost anywhere!
in swanage, dorset with my 4 year old and my partner. It is great fun for young children!
when i was younger my parents took us to Florida for 3 weeks that was the best holiday ever. Magic Kingdom to Sea World there was something to do everyday.. We even loved shopping for bargains as everything was half price compared to what we pay here..
Our favourite place is Slovenia, swimming in Lake Bled amongst romantic scenery, walking through the river gorge, eating pizza from a wood fired oven in a rustic bar, watching thousands of wax filled eggshells floating on Lake Bled, taking the cable car up the mountains. So much to do, see and enjoy.
We went to St Lucia last year when Freya turned 3 (celebrated her birthday out there). She was great on the plane and loved all the swimming and the beach at the resort
)
Having the best of both worlds in Orlando, a lovely private villa with pool to relax and unwind, but loads of great theme parks on the doorstep.
With a 6 year old girl and a baby boy due in April I would say Disney Land is our dream! The little girl wins the prize though as she got the pink Trunki for Christmas!
Last summer we traveled to Holland with our then 9 month old and 2 year old. It was a long drive but the kids were great in the car and it was worth it when we got there. We stayed at a caravan site called Ter Spegelt. We had a lovely little cabin with its own BBQ and hammock and there is loads of stuff for kids to do especially if they love water as it has its own lakes and even an indoor beach!
The best place we’ve been to was a villa in Portugal. You could plan your ay at your own pace and relax round the pool knowing the kids were safe in the grounds of the villa.
The best place ive holiday’ed with the kids is in a caravan park near Thetford Forest, we had bought a cheap caravan off the internet and packed it all up while the eldest was in school, as soon as he got home we all got in the car and drove the hour to the camp site. My husband and son spent the weekend riding their bikes on the trails in the forest and I sat in a chair by the caravan reading while my daughter rolled around on a rug trying to get her toes in her mouth
The best place to holiday with children to me is Haven Devon Cliffs Holiday Park in South Devon, when my children were young we used to return every year, now they have children of their own its time for them to go to Devon Cliffs. Following at a very close second is Disney World in Florida
We’ve only had one holiday together as a family and that was to Menorca in September, but its probably best forgotten about as it wasn’t the greatest holiday I’ve ever had unfortunately! Would love to take the kids to Disneyworld in Florida.
Butlins, minehead. The kids were spoilt for choice with so much to do and i would strongly recommend it to anyone with children
We have only done one holiday together since my son was born, and that was Disney World. It was very fitting, as it’s the happiest place on earth. My daughter would have loved one of these to travel with!
We went to Blackpool. It was a great holiday and everyone loved it and we would definately go again.
We went to Great Yarmouth and we went to Dinosaur adventure land. We walked round went to see the animals and played in the adventure playground for hours.
My favoueite family holiday was definitely Haven! I strongly recommend it. The kids loved it, I loved. There really is something for everyone! The caravans are nice too
i love to take my little one to Florida and see Micky and co!
I have been to Portaventura Spain with the kids, it was brilliant
We have only been on one holiday with our son so far, was Ireland when he was 10 weeks old and was fantastic!
We love going to wales, porthmadog especially, we are going again this year and we cannot wait. there is so much to do and the views are out of this world!
This year will be the first year we’ve ever been abroad with our 4 children. We are going to the South of France and I can’t wait! I was an only child and was very lucky to be able to travel regularly with my parents when I was young, I desperately want them to be able to experience travel and different culture too but it seems so much more difficult (and expensive) with 4 of them. We will see how we get on with Eurocamp this year, hopefully it will be the start of our family travels for years to come!
I’d love to travel to Australia to meet his Aussie relatives.
I loved our first holiday as a little family to Leeds to see my boyfriends family (we live in Wales) as it was lovely to see his family and for them to meet our son and it was a special memory seeing him with his nana who has since sadly passed away
Would love to take my baby daughter and 17 year old daughter, and my other half to a little greek island. I am disabled with painful arthritis and not only do the greeks take care of you, they absolutely adore children and I would love for my baby and other half to have a wonderful holiday where we are welcome in the restaurants and cafes. I was only able to take my 17 year old away once when she was 6 to lesvos and the warmth and friendliness we received so was so genuine and kind we have never forgotten it. We also love cornwall but greece is the place I want to go. I want them to see a greek sunset and watch a greek thunderstrom and see how vibrant the stars are. Never, ever forget it and am very grateful I got to go, I just want to share it with them.
We havent been on holiday for a while but if we were going to I would love to take my four children to Florida
Butlins in Minehead is brilliant. There was never a dull moment and our fussy little eater became not so fussy choosing from all the buffet food! We were worried he wouldn’t sleep in a strange environment but by bedtime he was so worn out from all the fun and games it was no problem!
Butkins, we’ve been three times, can’t beat it as there is so much to do,no matter what the weather is like. Also love North Wales, lovely countryside and lots to do.
my kids loved our holiday to crete, we went to a little fishing village called Makrigialos, the people were so friendly and the food was fabulous. the big plus was the weather in May was just right for their delicate skin
Thomasland, we loved it so much that we have visited for the last three years!
@littleboo_21
The only place i have holidayed with my whole family is Pitlauchry in Scotland, A caravan holiday my daughters enjoyed themselves so much they cried when they were told it’s time to go home, I can’t wait to revisit x
Our favourite family holiday was a fortnight in Zante, Greece
The best place we went was Sharm El Sheik – lovely and warm for our daughter but no overly hot. We went in October and it was also relatively quiet.
My husband and I wanted to go to Canada for our honeymoon but the threat of redundancy forced us to book a minimoon in York instead. Now we have a DD, we’d love to take her with us and have a family holiday instead.
i would love to take my kids to disneyland they would love it
We were told we would never have children, then found out 8 years later miraculously that I was pregnant, he tragically was stillborn. A few months later we went on an extended break to France, to try and put ourselves back together. I came home pregnant and we now have our wonderful daughters. So we plan to take them both to France this summer as it now has a very special place in our hearts.
Hello Nichola, thank you sharing that with us. What a terribly sad time for you. I hope France brings you many new happy memories with your daughters. Clare.
My fav holiday place was berwick, most beautiful countryside and scenery, long trip in car. Couldnt afford much due to current climate and every penny counts towards bills, but managed too treat kids to trip to berwick and holy island what a lovely place. Was brilliant in caravan for week with my toddler and baby they loved it would love to win so kids can have a comfy ride up again this year, dont have lots of money but you can make a holiday special no mattrr were you go. Cant wait to go again
our most favourite holiday with our daughter was camping in Abersoch last year. The weather was fantastic, the scenery beautiful and only 2 hours away by car
Calp, Northern Costa Blanca in Spain, Lovely beach, lovely people, everything about it is lovely.
We had our first family holiday to Teignmouth last summer. It’s a fab little place with great beaches, a pier and lots of things to do!
When my daughter is older i would love to take her to Florida – disneyland and universal studios, although i will probably enjoy it more!
id love to take my boys to disneyland theyre amazing and they deserve it
We took our eldest daughter to Fuerteventura 2 years ago when i was 28 weeks pregnant can’t wait to return this May with both of our daughters!!
I recently took my son to Canada, he abdolutely loved it
i have a little boy who is four and we are saving to take him to lapland
to see his face when he meets santa will be worth every penny we have scrimped together xxx
Hello Denise. I was speaking to someone who took their children a few years ago. She said it was as magical as she could have possible imagined. I’m sure you’ll have an amazing time.
Most places in spain are not to bad because the are short distances, I think holidaying in this country is easier because you can stop when you want and have no waiting around at airports etc.
love to take my four girls away to the lakes district something for everyone there
We’ve been to Spain (Alicante)and Cleethorpes both of which were good holidays for different reasons
we’re going to Spain again this Easter which should be fun but a bit worried about entertaining my daughter on the 2 and bit hour flight as she was only 9 months last time we went and will be 21 months this time round!!
Hi Kelly. Don’t worry about the flight. Just pack a few faithful toys that you know hold her attention for a while. Sticker books are great as are colouring books. Take some finger snacks too as they always occupy plenty of time. My favourites are a few cheerios or raisins. It will be really exciting for her, so try and enjoy it together. Good luck.
Our favourite holiday with our two year old son was definately Cornwall, we rented a cottage with our friends and their children. We spent the holiday on the beach, walking, cycling and swimming. It was fantastic, the children and the grown ups all loved it!
Legoland Denmark….on a Farmhouse holiday. The farmers took the kids to feed the animals (boys, 8 and 6) and even ride on the tractors and it was a gorgeous old farmhouse!
We travelled to Holland last year and stayed on a fab campsite, that was defo the child friendlist place I have been. The weather was fab aswell so thats got to be my favourite place.
We had out first and only family holiday in May 2010 which was to Egypt. It was beautiful and the kids loved it. And of course they took their Trunki’s along too.
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Paphos Cyprus last April -May. We specifically chose a time of year that was warm rather than boiling to ensure it wasn’t too hot for the children being young and fair haired. The area was pleasant with a variety of beaches and entertainment locally. Trips and eating out wasnt too expensive either. I would recommend the Louis king Jason apartments for cleanliness, comfort and service
I recently took my 4 children on a cruise, I loved it and so did the children i found my boy of 10 spent most of his time on the basketball court and my 3 girls shooting down the flumes on the fantastic ship!
Hello Cheryl,
Glad you enjoyed the cruise. We had a question posed to us on facebook the other day for tips for a mum going on a cruise for the first time. Are you able to help at all? You can find her post here… http://www.facebook.com/babyabroad
I’m very lucky, my inlaws live in Florida about an hours drive from Walt Disney World, and we visit them twice a year. My daughter is probably the only child to have ever said “I don’t want to go to The Magic Kingdom, I want to stay at home and play with Grandma and Grandpa”!
turkey a fab holiday in the sun i couldnt ask to take my daughter anywhere nicer!
Butlins
We’ve only been to Port Solent, Portsmouth so far, but we’re hoping to take my 8 month old son to Menorca later on this year!
I really enjoy Butlins in Minehead as there is so much to do there for my little girl.
Golden Taurus Plark Resort, Pineda de Mar, Costa Brava, brilliant place for a Holiday with the kids. Plenty to keep them occupied and very friendly staff. Would recommend to anybody and cannot wait to return in September.
Grace is only 3, so tried Butlins, It was wonderful, such a great place for families with children.
why holiday when i live in Looe!!!! kids love the beach, ’tis the best one around! I also love taking the family to Torquay! (out of season though else its too hectic)!!!
Butlins in Bognor Regis
My daughter was only young but it was amazing seeing her excited at all the new sights and activities
Defo Scotland.
I love Tobago, it is a dream destination for children, as the beaches are quiet and safe and there is no crowd where they can get lost. Travelled there twice with my daughter already, now we get our baby son to expierence some Caribbean sun.
Definately has to be orlando florida
my little mans face was just a picture, especially seeing chip and dale. x
we love going camping, cheap and cheerful we go to cornwall
We stayed in a villa in Menorca – its an absolutely lovely place the people are very friendly and love children lots of entertainment for families and things to see or do. I was amazed at how family orientated every it was
We took my daughter to Butlins for a mid-weekend break. Unfortunately she was too little and didnt get the full enjoyment out of it that we would have hoped. Now we are saving to go to Disneyland Paris. Ideally we would like to go next year, it would be lovely for my children to go abroad for the first time and experience Disneyland Paris, mind you im sure we wou,ld love it just as much as the children xx
We went on holiday to a french gite last september which was great, went with grandparents so lots of family hands on board for my then 14month old little boy. It was fabulous.
One of my favourite places I have been with my family is Disneyland Paris. Loved watching our toddler meeting all the characters.
Any of the Centre Parcs are Brilliant. Everything I need is already there and the entertainment is all packaged together. Never heard the words “I’m board” there and with 5 children ranging from 2 – 14 years that’s an achievement!!
The best place we have ever visited as a family is Parga, mainland Greece. The first time we visited the children were toddlers and as they grew into teenagers they still loved it just as much, you can’t say that about a lot of places. Parga is Greek through and through, you wont find a Disco, Irish Bar, Karaoke or Sunday Lunch no matter how hard you try.
we love Lyme Regis in Dorset – it makes us happy.
My favourite place is the Costa Blanca in Spain, especially round the mar de menor which has some lovely isolated beaches if you know where to look, and shallow, warm water.
Though one time we went a little TOO far off the beaten track and buried the hire car in the beach! Luckily a huge group of locals came to push us off the sand.
Dubai… surprisingly child friendly!
We love going away to Cornwall, my children always go on about it and keep wanting to go back there
My favourite place that we have taken our boys to was to Disneyland, it was amazing to see how excited they were and to just play and watch them enjoy themselves and have pure unadulterated fun, and just been children for the 3 days they were there.
north wales on a haven holiday the kids love it x
Turkey. They simply love children and are so helpful
My favourite place I have been with my two boys is the Isle of Skye. We camped and it rained but they ran through streams, skimmed stones, made grass pictures, learned how to peg washing out and play top trumps. Great holiday. Wish I could do it all over again but it wouldn’t be the same.
i would love to take my little boy to disneyland!
We just got back from an off-season visit to Spain and our little girl loved it! Since it wasn’t busy, everyone in cafes/shops etc had time to come and chat and fuss over her even on our day-trip to Morocco, the people on the tour were really friendly. We’ll be going back when it’s warmer so we can play on the sand
I’d love to be able to take the family to Disney in Florida but that’s a big dream just now so myself and the monster went to Brussels and Louvaine-la-neuve, Belgium last July to see my partner when he was working there. The people are so friendly and love children, they kept giving her biscuits, chips and chocolate everywhere we went! She was fascinated by the museums too, especially the bubbles in the brewery museum tank. It’s all cobbles though so not really pushchair-friendly.
I would love to take my children to Disneyland Florida – wishful thinking, but would be a complete dream come true!!
We loved Centre Parcs – off to Disneyland Paris this year though so thinking that will soon be our favourite holiday!
I would love to take my little boy to France for his first holiday, it’s such a friendly country and it would be nice to go camping and let him do lots of outdoor activities.
Our kids love going to the New Forest – the open spaces and ponies are the main attraction. We hired trailer bikes and a buggy bike so we could get out and about and explore and have lovely picnics. The beaches are also good and eating chips on the harbour wall at Lymington was also a highlight, not a very expensive holiday – but a memorable one for all the right reasons.
We have family in Belgium and have taken our toddler there a few times. There’s loads for her to do especially as her cousins are around the same age and they know all the best places to go.
We went to the black forest in Germany last year and my 2 boys loved it.
I have love holidaying in Greece with my children, there is so much to do there, we never spend all our time on the beach & it’s such an adventure for them to travel by bus & boat to different places, the inter-island trips were, I think the best loved. Also the Greeks love children and they were spoiled rotten .
would love to take my kids to Disneyland Florida – one day maybe
I’d love to take my son to Madagascar to see just how wonderful nature can be.
Disneyland Paris. Now that takes some beating
We are looking forward to our Cruise (1st one) in May to the Med. Something for all the family. Kids clubs with fantastic reviews. Swimming pools and cinema and entertainment. Plus the cultural side that I crave and my 5 year old will surely have many enquiring questions about.
Centerparcs is fab my little boy loved it there.
)
My favourite place is Singapore as it’s a breeze getting around on the tube (Mass Rapid Transit) there due to the abundance of lifts – very child friendly.
It’s got to be Lapland to see santa.
I would love to take my boys on a wild west adventure and go through the smokey mountains on horse back..or maybe somewhere in Cornwall would do this..Holiday should be about adventure and fun not just sun, sun, sun..
That sounds different. If you find somewhere in Cornwall, do come back and let us know.
I would love to take my children to Disneyland Paris. Thanks for the competition.
Chicago is one of the most family friendly places we’ve ever visited and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it
We went on our first holiday with our twins when they were 1 to Butlins in Minehead ans we loved it, loads for the twins to do and they really enjoyed themselves, hoping to go again asap as would imagine its even better as they get older!
Last year we went on our first holiday as a family to Dorset. We loved it there and are going back twice this year. There’s loads to do there and my 6 month old (at the time) loved the sandy beach. I would love to take her to Disney world Florida in a few years time!
We haven’t been on a family holiday yet, but we’re going on our first to the Scottish Highlands in October, can’t wait for him to see all the beautiful scenery and animals!
We took our 2 year old to Cape Town. He loved all the beaches and the lovely weather and scenery.
camping.. the children love it and you really don’t have to go far (which is ideal for children) to find a perfect campsite. Our favourite campsite is one in grizedale forsest in the lake district- perfect
would love to take my son to disney world
We took our 5 month old (at the time) on a cottage holiday to Wales which was great. We’re hoping to use my parents’ Florida timeshare in a few years so we can take him to Disney World.
I take mine to Lanzarote. Very clean and family friendly
we had a lovely holiday in Norfolk – I would love to take him to Disney when he is older
We visited Southwold in Suffolk with our son when he was six months and loved it. In fact we have another baby on the way and are hoping to return some time later in the year.
We’ve had some lovely holidays around the uk, but my favourite place to take the kids is Cornwall. We just never run out of things to do!
Florida, walt disney, with great grand daughter, Lily, to much to do, but she enjoyed it and wanted to take minnie mouse, home with her, we had to say he was scared of flying
Mine has to be Cornwall. We go there every year and although its a bit of a drive down its my favourite place as it reminds me of my childhood, and my little boy loves it too. He loves all the beaches and eating Cornish icecream and fudge, and going for walks along the cliff path. We stay in a holiday park so he can take part in all the kids activities and has such a good time each year. It’s stress free for us as parents and everyone has a good time.
We loved our stay at one of the Featherdown farms, they all are superb, ours was in Dorset. Adults and kids alike absolutely LOVED it. No tvs, no radio, just tweeting of birds and your talks with each other (which we don’t have enough at home). Children loved collecting eggs in the coops in the morning. It was a bliss, I’d love to go back again ( it is not cheap).
We love North Yorkshire! The beaches are stunning, the people are so friendly, there’s loads to do, it’s fairly near for us and it’s cheap! The kids have such a fab time and we love being together as a family. We have recently taken up a new hobby of geocaching, a sort of worldwide treasure hunt, so we’re hoping to do lots of that when we go next month and in July!
We are all going skiing for the first time ever this year too, so I think the prize will come in very handy for the 9 hour drive to The Alps!!
We have had great holidays all crammed in our old little caravan staying at different holiday sites round the south east we had to scrap it in the end it was so full of rust and damp but we all loved it!
best holiday was center parcs. kids had so much freedom to bike around as cars were not let on the main village. they love it
Would love to be able to take them to disneyland before they get to old, but thats never going to happen.
We went to Ibiza but that was when we only had 1 child. we loved it sun sea fun. we have 2 now.
I went to Disney Florida in November with my four year old. It was magical. He really believed it was all real. I will never ever forget the look of delight on his face when he got to meet his real heros – Woody and Buzzlightyear
I’d love to holiday with my children on safari in Africa. It would be so exciting and adventurous!
Our favourite place that we have holidayed is Orlando. It was a dream come true for both children and us.
We had a great time at Alton Towers Splash Landings hotel and waterpark
We went to great yearmouth hemsby full of fun for the kids they love it!! theres about 8 arcades and TOO much to do and its fab for us adults to…going again this year
Favourite place was the Isle Of White last year. It was October so it wasn’t very warm but it’s still a lovely place to visit. We never felt we had to rush but could take it easy. Lots to keep child Samuel busy but not too much to wear us out.
We went to Disneyland Paris the same year but seemed to us lots of rushing about to try and fit in as much as possible.
anywhere, we just need the sun
It has to be Orlando – everything you could possibly ask for in a holiday!
We love the French Alps – in Winter and in Summer!
Samana in the Dominican Republic – where we got married and our daughter was the brides maid
I loved Llandudno as a child, perhaps there.
Has to be Scarborough your typical english seaside town. Plenty to do a lovely beach with donkies, A very traditional place with amusements, lighthouse, boat rides, souveneir shops, buckets and spades. Plenty of things to keep the children busy, peasholm park is great for the squirrels who come and take nuts from your hands also boat rides on the lake. Lets not forget also Scarborough fair!! A great place for all the family.
We went to the Isle of Wight this year which was great. Lots of things to do, great weather and because it’s only small, you’re never too far from where you’re staying!
We’ve never been on holiday as a family and really want to take our two little boys to Norfolk for the summer to visit old friends. Can’t wait for my youngest to see the beach for the first time
.
Disneyland Paris. Magical!
I love taking my almost 3 year old to Butlins. There is much for him to do without any extra charge. They have the beach for good weather and messy play every day. Who could ask for more. The entertainment is aimed at both adults and children so we all have fun.
Cyprus last year with our 20 month old, the weather was perfect , the hotel very child friendly we had a great time!
would love to holiday in Britain – Cornwall has it all
Having our second baby in 4 weeks & deciding whether to brave Portugal in September with a toddler & 7 month old! We went as a couple before we were married & would love to go back as a family!
