My holiday boy reading a Love2read bookToday we have a fabulous competition for you.   Love2read is offering 1 lucky BabyAbroad reader the chance to win a “My holiday…” personalised book.

Love2read let you upload your photographs to create unique books.  But these aren’t ordinary photo books. They are designed to help your child develop a love of reading. They do this by presenting the photographs and relating them to simple words.  Whether you’ve been on a winter break or simple away for the weekend you can hand pick your most precious digital photographs and have them transformed into a personalised reading book which your child will love to share with family and friends. What a wonderful keepsake to treasure forever of the special time you spent together.

All you have to do to enter our competition, is leave us a comment below to answer this question;

“What is your child’s favourite book to take on holiday?”

No doubt there are one or two books that you’ve re-read several hundred times on long journeys?!  Competition closes midnight Monday 18 March. Entry is limited to one per person. Please note that automated entries will be deleted.

If you want to find out more about Love2read, then head on over to their website: www.love2read.co.uk.  You can take a look at the many different books on offer.  To create a book, all you have to do is pick the template that you want, upload your ten digital photos and then add some simple text. eg I went to Cornwall, I went skiing, I went in the pool, etc.

    A bit more obscure but my daughter loves All in One Piece (about the Large Family). Four children cause chaos and nearly prevent their parents from a much needed night out. My daughter cannot go anywhere without this book, as it is hysterical when Mrs Large sits on the poster paints and she doesn’t realise it has ruined her beautiful dress.

    The Hungry Caterpillar, I know it’s old, but it’s still up there, as the last holiday we took was all inclusive & he just stood and looked at all the different foods on display and said what a beautiful butterfly would be made from eating all theses different coloured foods. I have to say it was a moment when you are sort of speechless, a tear in your eye and yet still wanting to laugh just at his pure happiness in life.

    My 3 year old nephew is going through the “there is a monster under my bed stage” but once we had read, re-read, read again and read twice back to back the wonderful “where the wild things are” by maurice sendak…..bedtime monsters became friendly and my nephew’s nickname is wildthing because of our surname so he thinks the book has been specially written for him. Ps the Gruffallo a close second… Its always owl ice cream for pudding these days

    Both of mine love the Usbourne Airport Sticker book. It explains everything that will happen at the airport, and then you join in the story by adding stickers. Great for preparing them for airport security!

    It is going to have to be Zog for us!!! It is my sons favourite book at the moment – indeed rarely a night passes without it being read! I love the sing – song rhyme and the pictures are stunning – long after the reading is over we are busy spotting the squirrel or the snails in the pictures! A lovely story and a little bit of our home routine wherever we are so definitely will be packed when we go away in a few weeks x
