Ski with kids: Kids Ski and Snow Clubs
Many
ski resorts provide a range of kids clubs and private child care to
meet all your ski holiday childcare needs. You can choose from full time
or part time care and have kids ski lessons included or not.
Most kids clubs will organise drop off and pick up to ski
lessons. Some hotels offer the kids care on site, others make use of nearby
facilities. Many resorts run municipal care, but some holiday
companies run their own dedicated clubs.Here are some examples of the day care available from Thomson's Kids Clubs and Neilson's Snow clubs.

Thomson's Kids Clubs/Crystal Ski Holidays
Pepi Penguin Club (6 months - 4 years)
- At least one qualified nanny per crèche
- Ratios 1 nanny per 3 children under 2 yrs and one nanny per 4 children aged 2-4 yrs
- Crèche available 8.30-5pm 6 days a week
- Range of toys, games, craft etc available
- Outdoor activities available, weather permitting
- Snacks and drinks included
- 1 night's free evening crèche included
- Children receive pepi penguin gift
Whizz Kids Club (3 or 4 - 11 years)
- Run by Whizz kids leaders with experience and qualifications
- Children taken to and from ski school
- Half or full day available
- Outside snow play and games
- Dedicated club room
- Hours: 8.30am - 5pm
- 1 night 'fun zone' included
- All Whizz kids receive special gift
- Options: 8.30-2pm, 2-5pm or full day
- Staff CRB checked, first aid trained and English speaking
- French run child care by English speak staff
- Baby club - full day 4mths - 3 years
- Mini Club - (3/4 - 5 yrs) full day child care including half day ESF lessons and equipment hire
- Kids Club - 6-12 years full day ESF lessons including lunch
Neilson Kids Clubs
You should check on each resort guide with Neilson, as to what type of child care is available in each resort. The child care ranges from ski school operated care, to resort municipality run clubs to independent businesses.In Les Deux Alpes, France, Neilson have their own kids clubs exclusive to Neilson travellers. They are as follows:
Neilson Snowangels Club 4-23 months
- All staff hold level three child care qualification and work on a one nanny to two children ratio
- Six full days care available 09:00 - 16:30
- Flexible drop off and pick up possible
- Six full days care available 09:00 - 16:30
- One nanny to four children ratio
- Activities include outdoor snowman building and tobogganing
- Arts crafts, stories, singing, dressing up and more
- Informative 'daily activities report' given to parents
- Neilson recommend combining snowbusters with local ski tuition
- Escort 'drop off' and 'pick up' service to ski school
- Staff ration 1 or 2 nannies to 8 children depending on the activity
- Activities include outdoor snowman building and tobogganing
- Board games, arts and crafts, group activities and videos
- Includes lunch and lunch time supervision
